Which book is it? I found two by Pagen at Amazon.com; "Understanding the sky", and "Understanding the sky-a sport pilot's guide to flying conditions." Anyone know if these are one and the same? 888 |

Others interested can chime in here or send me email. Then, in a few weeks I'll send out an email to the interested folks to make arrangements. we'll need to get people their books ($24 from Amazon, or you can get from other soaring suppliers). As long as there are at least 3-4 folks, I'm game. I'm envisioning bi-weekly reading assignments from the Pagen book, which I will assign. Then we meet for dessert/coffee for an hour or two, biweekly, to discuss. I'm thinking of a place like flying star. An evening during the week in ABQ. we'll time the syllabus to ease into the spring-time NM weather, which is always pretty dynamic. |

THAT is a good weather book. I have a copy. It is the source of all my weather forecasting powers. I'll have to think about whether I can part with it for a few months, but I probably can manage. :-) Along the same lines, if there is enough interest in going through that book as a small group then we might think about setting something up. I have heard a couple people mention that they would like to learn the stuff. UX |
