2010-02-04 06:59:02 In addition to being able to monitor the megahertz for airport information, we should also be able to phone the AWOS for current information once the frequency and phone number are made known.

2010-02-03 19:59:28 I was out at the field this week and talked to the contractors working on the AWOS. The installation of the AWOS was almost complete and the final adjustments and testing were scheduled for next week (week of Feb 8). If all goes well we may see it operational in the next two weeks or so.

We still do not know the AWOS frequency, but I am sure we'll have that information soon. A couple of photos are posted in our 2010 photos section. Soon we'll have the capability to simply tune in the AWOS frequency, listen to our glider's radio, and hear the current weather conditions at Moriarty! 3R
